This handmade 6-inch SunRain Prism Suncatcher combines 25 genuine Asfour Egyptian lead-crystal chandelier prisms with a translucent cast-resin center to create vivid natural rainbow light when direct sunlight reaches the crystal.

Choose from 32 translucent center colors shown in the listing color chart, including neutrals, greens, blues, reds, pinks, purples, and gemstone-inspired shades.

When direct sunlight reaches the faceted crystal prisms, rainbow spectra can move across walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, and other surfaces as the sun changes position.

Why SunRain Creates Such Vivid Rainbows

Each SunRain contains 25 genuine Asfour Egyptian lead-crystal chandelier prisms arranged individually around the center.

The faceted crystal separates white sunlight into its visible colors through refraction and dispersion. Instead of relying on one hanging prism, the radial arrangement provides many crystal surfaces for sunlight to strike at the same time.

The result is a room filled with multiple bands of natural rainbow light rather than a single small spectrum.

Handmade Construction

Each SunRain is made one at a time in my Omaha, Nebraska studio.

I cast the resin center, position the 25 prisms individually in the radial pattern, secure the assembly, clean and polish the crystal, and inspect the finished piece before shipping.

Because each one is handmade, small variations are normal and part of the character of the finished piece.

Where to Hang It

For the strongest rainbow display, hang the SunRain near the upper portion of a window where direct sunlight can reach the prisms.

East-, south-, and west-facing windows can all work depending on the time of day, season, surrounding buildings, trees, roof overhangs, curtains, and other conditions.

A bright room alone is not enough. The direct sun itself must strike the crystal.

Ready to Hang

Your SunRain arrives with a decorative chain and hanging hardware.

Hang it securely so the piece is approximately parallel to the window glass and has enough clearance to move without striking the window, wall, or frame.

As the sun moves, the rainbow display changes naturally throughout the day.

Optional Engraving

A personalized engraved glass dome can be added separately for an additional charge.

The clear glass dome is engraved on the back so the design or lettering can be viewed through the glass while the center color remains visible underneath.

Engraving adds approximately 4–6 days to processing time.

The engraving add-on should be ordered separately along with the suncatcher. You can provide the requested text and choose from the available engraving fonts during that process.

Ships from Omaha, Nebraska.

Free standard shipping is available within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, other U.S. regions, and Canada are available with applicable shipping charges shown at checkout.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days after delivery.

For standard returns, the buyer is responsible for return postage and the original purchase price is refunded after the item is returned.

For exchanges, the buyer pays postage back to me and I cover postage for the replacement shipment.

If a repair is needed because of a workmanship issue, I will take care of it.
