Each suncatcher is made with 25 genuine Asfour Egyptian lead-crystal chandelier prisms.

The faceted crystal bends and separates direct sunlight into visible bands of color, creating natural rainbow spectra on surrounding surfaces.

The effect changes throughout the day as the sun moves.

Handmade in Omaha

Each SunRain is made one at a time in my Omaha, Nebraska studio.

I position the prisms individually in the radial arrangement, secure the assembly, cast and finish the resin center, clean and polish the crystal, attach the chain and hardware, and inspect the finished piece before shipping.

From the Maker

I first made SunRain for my granddaughter. When she saw the rainbows moving across her bedroom, she said:

“There’s rainbows everywhere!”

That reaction became the inspiration behind SunRain.

I’m a retired engineer turned artist, and these pieces combine two things I have always enjoyed: geometry and light. Every SunRain is made by me in my Omaha studio.

Ships from Omaha, Nebraska.

Standard shipping is free within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, other U.S. regions, and Canada are available with applicable shipping charges shown at checkout.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days after delivery.

For standard returns, the buyer is responsible for return postage and the original purchase price is refunded after the item is returned.

For exchanges, the buyer pays return postage and I cover postage for the replacement shipment.

If a repair is needed because of a workmanship issue, I will take care of it.
