What Makes SunRain Different

A SunRain Prism Suncatcher is made with 25 genuine Asfour Egyptian lead-crystal chandelier prisms arranged individually around a cast-resin center.

Rather than relying on one hanging prism, the radial design places many crystal surfaces in the sunlight at once. As the sun changes position, different facets catch the light and the rainbow display changes naturally throughout the room.

Direct sunlight is required. A bright room without direct sun reaching the crystal will not produce the same rainbow effect.

Handmade Construction

Each SunRain is made one at a time.

I cast the resin center, position the crystal prisms individually in the radial arrangement, secure the assembly, clean and polish the crystal, and inspect the finished piece before shipping.

Small differences between pieces are normal because each one is handmade.

From the Maker

I first made a SunRain for my granddaughter. When she saw the rainbows moving around her bedroom, she said:

“There’s rainbows everywhere!”

That reaction became the inspiration behind SunRain.

I’m a retired engineer turned artist, and these pieces combine two things I have always enjoyed: geometry and light. Every SunRain is made by me in my Omaha studio.

Ships from Omaha, Nebraska.

Standard shipping is free within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, other U.S. regions, and Canada are available with applicable shipping charges shown at checkout.

Returns

Returns are not accepted because the engraving is permanently attached to the suncatcher.

If a repair is needed because of a workmanship issue, I will take care of it.
