This set includes two complete star-shaped 6-inch SunRain Prism Suncatchers, each handmade with 25 genuine Asfour Egyptian lead-crystal chandelier prisms arranged around a cast-resin center. Engraving dome sold separately.

Together, the pair contains 50 genuine crystal prisms. When direct sunlight reaches the faceted crystal, the prisms separate white light into vivid natural rainbow spectra that move across walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, and other surfaces as the sun changes position.

Why SunRain Creates Real Rainbows

SunRain does not use plastic rainbow film, colored stickers, or artificial lighting.

Each piece uses genuine faceted Asfour lead crystal. When direct sunlight enters the prisms, the light bends and separates into its visible colors.

Because each SunRain contains 25 individually arranged prisms, many crystal surfaces can interact with sunlight at the same time, creating multiple rainbow spectra throughout the room.

Handmade in Omaha

Each SunRain is made individually in my Omaha, Nebraska studio.

I cast and finish the resin center, position the crystal prisms one at a time in the radial arrangement, secure the assembly, clean and polish the crystal, attach the hanging hardware, and inspect each completed piece before shipping.

Because every piece is handmade, small variations are part of its character.

From the Maker

I first made SunRain for my granddaughter. When she saw the rainbows moving across her bedroom, she said:

“There’s rainbows everywhere!”

That moment became the inspiration for SunRain.

I’m a retired engineer turned artist, and these pieces combine two things I have always enjoyed: geometry and light. Every SunRain is made by me in my Omaha studio.

Standard shipping is free within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, other U.S. regions, and Canada are available with applicable shipping charges shown at checkout.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days after delivery.

For standard returns, the buyer is responsible for return postage and the original purchase price is refunded after the item is returned.

For exchanges, the buyer pays return postage and I cover postage for the replacement shipment.

If a repair is needed because of a workmanship issue, I will take care of it.
